Q: What should GRAVA members know about you?

A: I love the outdoors and exploring historical areas. I am originally from Chicago, but LOVE living in Virginia. I love animals, especially our golden retriever, Quincy.

Q: What should GRAVA members know about your organization?

A: We have a wonderful volunteer program with volunteer opportunities for assisting with activies/events or one-on-one interaction. Brandermill Woods Health Care Center/Assisted Living is a beautiful community with a calendar filled with many activities for all skill levels. We have a volunteer team with ages ranging from elementary school to post retirement.

Q: Why do you love the profession of volunteer administration?

A: I love my work — the opportunity to work with our residents, meeting new people, sharing and encouraging my passion for helping others.

 

Q: What do you hope to get our of GRAVA now that you are a member?

A: Through GRAVA I hope to make connections, share my stories and learn from others. I hope to continue to improve my skills and increase my knowledge. And finally to find inspiration to be my personal best so that I can inspire our volunteers to be their best. My goal is to continue to work in the nonprofit sector in volunteer coordination and work towards earning my CVA!
